The charm features the Yatsu-giku, a rare eight-petal chrysanthemum crest with squared petal tips, crafted using the traditional Japanese “Sukashi” openwork technique. In Japanese, Yatsu-giku literally means “eight-petal chrysanthemum.” The chrysanthemum has long been associated with longevity, renewal, and refinement, making it one of the most meaningful symbols in Japanese culture.

Measuring approximately 16 mm in diameter, the charm is crafted from solid sterling silver (925). The master mold was created by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, with a vintage-inspired handmade finish that intentionally preserves subtle file marks and natural distortions—details that emphasize the authenticity of handcrafted production.
