Kobashi "Kikkou" Hexagon Charm Medium Brass

The Kobashi Studio “Kikkou” Hexagon Charm is a refined accessory that draws inspiration from traditional Japanese symbolism and artisanal metal craftsmanship. Designed to pair perfectly with the Kobashi Studio Classic Silver Chain Necklace 3.1mm or the Kobashi Studio Classic Silver Chain Necklace 2.3mm, it offers a distinctive yet understated addition to any necklace.

The design is based on the Kikkou motif, a traditional Japanese pattern that resembles the hexagonal structure of a tortoise shell. In Japanese culture, the tortoise symbolizes longevity, resilience, and lasting happiness, making this motif a meaningful emblem of protection and good fortune.

Measuring approximately 14 mm × 13 mm, the charm is crafted from solid brass, paired with a 925 sterling silver connecting ring for durability and compatibility with silver chains. The master mold was meticulously created by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, with a vintage-inspired finish that intentionally preserves subtle file marks and handmade distortions—details that highlight the authenticity of handcrafted production.

Each piece is cast by a family-operated metal workshop in Tokyo, ensuring exceptional quality and traditional metalworking expertise. Over time, the brass surface will develop a natural patina, gradually deepening in tone and giving each charm its own unique character.

The backside of the charm is engraved with “Kobashi” in Japanese characters, reinforcing the charm’s identity and connection to its origins.

Every charm is presented in a luxurious Japanese pig suede pouch, completing a small object that merges traditional symbolism with contemporary elegance.
