The Kobashi Studio “Kikkou-Aki” Hexagon Charm is a refined piece of Japanese metal craftsmanship that draws inspiration from traditional symbolism and architectural geometry. The design is based on the Kikkou motif, a traditional Japanese pattern that resembles the hexagonal structure of a tortoise shell. In Japanese culture, the tortoise symbolizes longevity, stability, and enduring health, making this pattern a powerful emblem of good fortune and lasting happiness.

The charm features an openwork design, referred to here as “Aki”, allowing light to pass through the hexagonal structure and giving the piece a balanced, architectural appearance.

Measuring approximately 20 mm × 18 mm, the charm is crafted from solid sterling silver (925). The master mold was meticulously created by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, with a vintage-inspired finish that intentionally preserves subtle file marks and handmade distortions—details that highlight the authenticity of handcrafted production.

Each piece is cast in sterling silver by a family-operated metal workshop in Tokyo, ensuring exceptional quality and traditional metalworking expertise.

The backside of the charm is engraved with “Kobashi” in Japanese characters, reinforcing the charm’s identity and connection to its origins.
