The Kobashi Studio Middle Wallet is a refined mid-size wallet that combines practical functionality with the understated craftsmanship that defines the brand. Handmade in Japan, it reflects the design philosophy of Junichi Kobashi, where durability, simplicity, and premium materials take precedence over unnecessary decoration.

Crafted from Kobashi Studio’s original saddle leather, the wallet uses a premium hide produced by a historic tannery in Himeji founded in 1905. The leather is 100% vegetable pit-tanned, a traditional tanning method that results in a durable and naturally glossy surface that will gradually develop a rich patina with use.

The wallet is thoughtfully designed to provide organized everyday storage while maintaining a compact silhouette. Inside, it features a main bill compartment, four card slots, an additional free pocket, and a coin pocket secured with a YKK solid brass zipper made in Japan.

A long leather zipper pull allows the coin pocket to be opened easily—even when wearing motorcycle gloves—making the wallet particularly practical for everyday carry. A solid brass eyelet, also made in Japan, allows the wallet to be attached to a wallet chain for added security.

The edges of the leather are carefully polished and hand-dyed, emphasizing the brand’s attention to detail. True to Kobashi Studio’s aesthetic philosophy, the exterior remains minimal and logo-free, allowing the beauty of the leather and craftsmanship to stand on their own.

Each wallet is packaged in a wax paper envelope, reinforcing its clean, utilitarian presentation.
