Made from undyed ecru selvedge denim, this fabric highlights the pure, natural color of Samurai’s proprietary Japanese organic cotton, resulting in one of the most textured and beautiful ecru fabrics currently produced in Japan.

At the core of these jeans is the remarkable Samurai Cotton Project, an ambitious initiative led by Nogami-san, founder of Samurai Jeans. This cotton is grown in Sasayama (Hyogo Prefecture) under exceptionally demanding conditions: plants are cultivated without fertilizers or pesticides, then weeded and harvested meticulously by hand. The process must also navigate the region’s intense autumn typhoons. Production relies on a dedicated group of Samurai employees, loyal customers, and local volunteers — making this cotton extremely limited, costly, and labor-intensive. The result, however, is an extraordinarily soft, resilient, and high-quality organic cotton unmatched in texture and authenticity.

The S510SC-KI includes premium finishing details such as exclusive jacquard pocket lining, iron rising-sun buttons, custom copper rivets, and a natural sheep leather patch. The regular straight fit provides a classic silhouette with room in the top block and a comfortable, straight leg, making these jeans especially versatile and timeless.
