The journey continues in Wakayama, where the aged cotton is spun into thread and entrusted to skilled artisans who operate vintage knitting machines. Though traditional loopwheel machines are limited in output—producing just 48cm of fabric per hour—Samurai embraces this slow, deliberate method to ensure superior texture and exceptional density. The result is a luxuriously soft, thick, and distinctive fabric that stands apart from conventional knits.
