Inspired by original waist overalls from the same era as the 1936 denim blouse, this model captures the spirit of early American work pants while refining it for contemporary wear.

At the core of the design is Sugar Cane’s 13oz “Standard Denim”, developed through a meticulous process of analyzing vintage garments and recreating their character from the ground up. Using unevenly spun yarns that mimic early, imperfect spinning techniques, the fabric delivers a naturally irregular texture with subtle neps and depth. The result is a denim that feels authentic from day one and evolves beautifully over time, producing rich, rugged fades with a distinctly vintage character.

The silhouette is where this model sets itself apart. Fit Notes: This model runs small , as is common with many of the brand’s jeans. We recommend sizing up one to achieve a true to size fit. Compared to most global American brands, this typically means taking one or two sizes up from your usual size.
